Tell us ABout Acme.

Acme Bicycles was started in 1999 by Tim Rangtisch near Canyon Lake. Acme has had several locations since 1999 and is rolling into 27 years of sharing the love for bicycles with the Black Hills community! Around 10 years ago in an ever-changing retail environment, we coined a phrase “All Rides. All People. Everyone’s Bike Shop!” This basic phrase and core believe has been at our forefront since. A form of this exact phrase and belief was adopted by the Black Hills Bike Hub!

Why do you support the Bike Hub and what makes you excited about the future?

We believe wholeheartedly that the Bike Hub is putting in the effort to support our riding community today, and in years to come. We believe any small business should be heavily involved in what they are doing day to day, and for us that means all things biking! Supporting riders,attending events, and showing up for our community. Supporting the community that supports us!

We are excited to see the Bike Hub take our in-town trails to the next level and continue to create more opportunities for all riders and skill sets!

If you could complete any trail or biking-related project in our community with no limits on time or money, what would it be?

We are spoiled with our riding opportunities as it is, but what we could hope for is everything getting elevated to the next level. Better maintenance and routine maintenance schedules, more variety, and putting an emphasis on trails for all skill levels at the highest level.
